Hi All,
I am using Krita since a while in parallel to GIMP. Krita 4 alpha looks promising. I am running the app image on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. The new 4.0 alpha 2 doesn't find the gmic-qt plugin. GMIC works fine on the first alpha app image. Any chance to get it running with the second alpha snapshot? Thx in advance Sascha

That's right, I didn't build the 4.0 pre-alpha appimage with gmic. The next development build will have it.

Ok, thanks a lot for clarification.
I can't wait to get it ![]() You are really making a great job. Like Krita a lot. If 4.0 is final I will completely switch to Krita. Any idea when you will create the next alpha or beta 4.0 app image? Kind regards Sascha |

Not totally sure, we're having a development sprint first, this week actually.

Hi, hope you have had a smooth start in 2018.
Thx for providing the first beta of krita 4. I have tested the windows and app image version. GMIC is working on the windows version, but can't start on the app image. I am getting the following message: Krita cannot find the gmic-qt plugin. Do I need to install it separately? Thx |

I can confirm this with "Krita 4.0.0-Beta1" appimage on Ubuntu 14.04, fresh configurations, as well. |
