Set shortcuts on Right Click?

Tue Nov 21, 2017 9:13 pm
I was wondering if there's a way to set general shortcuts to work on the right click as opposed to the popup palette.
When going into Krita's shortcuts, there doesn't seem to be a way to set things to mouse inputs.
but I know that on the settings for things like the popup palette, it's very clear that it's an option there.
Thanks

Hi noitibmar,

there are two kinds of shortcuts in Krita: One is the normal keyboard shortcuts for menus and tools, found in Settings>Configure Krita, under the Keyboard shortcuts tab.
The other is the Canvas shortcuts, which are used for on-Canvas operations suchas the fav palette, pick color, canvas rotation, etc. This is where you can change the right click shortcut.
Go to Settings > Configure Krita and click on the Canvas Input Settings tab.
The dropdown lists to the right are grouped according to specific functions. You can assign any of these functions to right click. Note that here you can have multiple shortcuts for the same function. For example I have assigned the color picker to right click, as well as ctr.

Close Krita and these changes take effect next time you open it.

Have fun :)
