Hey,
I've been trying to figure this out but am close to giving up. I am recently trying to get into digital art and in the process of finding a good program. Krita comes with raving reviews but I can't seem to get it to work. I've narrowed down my issues quite a bit through the online troubleshooting provided by the FAQ. Originally I thought it was just brush lag but it seems to be whole cursor lag when hovering over the canvas. My cursor jitters as I drag it along and I am unable to draw smooth rounded edges. I'll end up with some sort of polygon as my cursor pops from one location to another. Note: This happens both with mouse drawing and my Waacom Intuos tablet. Here is a gif of the described issue. http://www.giphy.com/gifs/3osBL7hWC7jWViZtD2 Normally I would chalk this up as my computer being unable to handle the program but I am able to run Photoshop, Illustrator, MyPaint, FireAlpaca, ArtRage, and Sketchbook without any issues. Here is my setup: Macbook Pro (Mid 2012) OS: MacOS High Sierra CPU: 2.9 Ghz i7 RAM: 8 Gigs (4 allocated for Krita) GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4000 Please let me know if you have any advice. I would love to use Krita, but it is proving to be a very frustrating task. Thanks, SirRawhide |

Hi, I have the same problem
My MacBook Pro just died and I have now a new iMac and I installed Krita (v.3.3.2) but there is a delay of a few seconds between the moment I draw and the moment when Krita takes in account my action (very important lag), I don’t think it’s a problem with my tablet because with the mouse it does the same thing. iMac 2017 MacOS High Sierra My graphic card is a Radeon Pro 555 2GO, RAM 8GB 3 GHz Intel Core i5 I hope that you will be able to help us. ![]() |
