organising brush presets [linux]

Sun Dec 03, 2017 1:11 am
Hello, gstreamer and python look to be installed on Mint 18.3 system, and am trying 3.3.2 appimage. I can't seem to manually reorganise brush presets, and am unsure whether I need to edit kritarc or do something else.

Linux Mint Cinnamon 18.3
Radeon R9 255, Mesa 17.2.8, kernel 4.15.0-13
Lenovo erazer x310, intel quad i7-4790, 16 gig ram
Ugee 2150/Krita 4.1.0pre appimage

Brush presets are always ordered alphabetically. To do otherwise, we'll need a rewrite of the resources management system to handle that. You can however rightclick a brush and assign them to a tag if necessary.

Thanks for response, and, sorry, I should have said I'd already created my own category through right-clicking brushes into it, but can't rearrange those ... they're the only ones I want to rearrange. Do they also now file alphabetically?

Okay. May I ask if there are plans to make the brush presets able to be manually arranged again?

Okay. May I ask if there are plans to make the brush presets within the tagged category able to be manually arranged again? I created a 'Palette' tag, then just have that open as the main section, but am unable to arrange them. The drag and drop seems to have gone. I don't know whether to report it as a bug or not.

(oops, thought was editing the other post ... posting on another forum at same time)

No, that's not possible and it has never been possible. It sounds like a desirable feature, but it'd need a volunteer to step up and code it.

Thanks. I must be confusing MyPaint and Krita. Oops. I can't code, but would have done it if I could.
