i want to install a newer version of Krita. i'm currently on 3.0
the reason i haven't updated earlier is the uninstall Krita always did before. it deleted all my brushes and brush presets it takes a good while to create the presets i like and i don't wanna spend time on something i can avoid so, my question is if i can somehow avoid the erasing. i haven't been here in a good while so i have no idea if something has changed. all tips are most welcome thanx |

Krita shouldn't delete resources after deinstall or update...
But you always can backup your all your stuff, check this to find right folders: https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#My_reso ... te_them.3F |

i copied the folders once before and i didn't get my brush presets. only brushes (brush tips)
same thing happened when i installed 3.0. all my brushes were wiped out so this time i want/need to be really sure |

Are you sure you also copied the paintoppreset folder? Cause that's the one with the preset part of the brush presets... Krita has no code to delete your resources outside of 'clear backup files' in settings->manage resources. |
