Hi, I'm new to krita. Coming over from photoshop. I love this program. Anyway, I like making battlemaps for RPG games. I was wondering if there was an easy way to add the grid from the grid tool so it's visible when I save the map as a jpg. In photoshop I just made single square grids as patterns and filled a layer with that. I like the grid tool in krita but I'm not finding a way to make the grid visible on top of the map. It looks like I can make single square grids as patterns in krita as well, so I can do that if it's the only way. However, I think it would be much easier if there was a way to just add the grid from the grid tool as a layer. Is this possible, or do I need to make patterns in krita as well?
Thanks and I'm sorry if this has been answered before. I only read the first 30 or so posts after searching for grid most of which were for the perspective grid. |

No, that's not possible at this point. You'd need to dip into the codebase to make it possible to export images with the grids and so on visible.

Oh ok, I was just curious if it was possible. I went ahead and made some grid patterns. It took me less than 10min. Really easy in krita. Infact everything seems to be much easier in krita.
Thanks for the fast response Boudewijn |
