After creating a canvas in krita that is 700x11800 pixels, is there any ways to mark the canvas with any kind of indicator every 1180pixels in height so that it makes my life easier? Need to divide it into 10. I'm planning to draw and fill out the entire canvas with strips of panels, but I really need a way to split the canvas up instantly with markers/indicators so i know where to cut every 1180 pixels. Help much appreciated!

You can define the width and height in rectangle shape tool and locked it ( in Tool Option Docker )
or Show Ruler in View Menu or There is ruler in tool box. You can use it to measure

Thanks for reply gui-m. Anyone else have any good alternatives or maybe perhaps an even better solution to my problem?

Easiest way should be using grids. Go to Settings > Dockers > Grids and Guides On the Grids and Guides docker, configure the grid the way you want ( x spacing = 1180 px) Show the grid. |

Thanks for the reply this is really useful. Is there a way to show only X or Y axis? It is showing both and i can't seem to figure out a way to only turn on one of the axis that i need. |

You can set different spacing for each axis unlocking the aspect ratio by clicing on the link (chain) icon to the right of the value boxes.
But as far as i know, it will always display both axis on the grid. |

Yeah, this actually save me all the time to measure my panel strips every 1180px and cut them! Thanks! |
