I'm new to Krita. Trying to learn it, but it gets hung up on the 'drag' tool. I can't change to tool to anything else. I have to quit the program and re-open it. I'm using an Mac Book Pro running OS High Sierra, v 10.13.2, using an iPod Pro with Astropad software to make the iPod into a graphic tablet. However, I don't think that's the problem since I can't change the tool even directly on the Mac with the mouse. Any suggestions?

what icon does the drag tool have? because that is not an official name of any of our tools so I am having trouble telling which tool you are talking about...

The hand icon. Bottom of the tool bar.
I just found additional information... I launched Krita and opened a drawing. It worked OK with the mouse. Line, rectangle tools worked OK. I chose the hand tool and moved the image OK. Then I started my iPad Pro, with the Astropad software, drew a line with the line tool, then picked the hand tool again and from then on I'm unable to get out to that tool, even on the MacBook Pro, clicking other tools, etc. I hope this helps. Thanks. Bob |

Hm... I think this might be a bug, but I don't own an os x device so we'll need to get another dev to look at it. Could you report it to bugs.kde.org, under the product Krita? It would be really super helpful to have it there so we don't forget about it!
After you've done that, you can work around this bug by invoking "pan" via the space bar or to use the middle mouse click(though, I don't think the ipad pro stylus has middle click) There's more navigation shortcuts here: https://docs.krita.org/Navigation#Navigation |
