Hello
![]() I am having various problems with both my pen tablet and Krita. Ill go through the issues I am having and the solutions I have tried out, but didn't work. First of all, my pen tablet is the Ugee HK1060 Pro drawing tablet. It works with only a few minor problems on my laptop(Which is not current present on my PC, so I won't go into detail about it.), but does not seem to work as well on my PC. I'm using two screens on my PC, one 1920x1080 and the other is 1280x1080. My pen tablet seems to stretch out on both monitors. In my driver settings, I set the mapping to "Monitor 1", but still it goes over both screens. Setting the mapping to the second monitor makes my cursor invisible when using the tablet. Restarting the computer does not seem to fix the problem. Additionally, the "Pen Pressure" test tab in the driver does not work either. I have tried changing different settings on windows (changing the scale back and forth), I have tried restarting the computer, I have tried reinstalling the driver several times, but It still goes over both screens, despite the settings. Here is the strange part. If I disable/unplug the second monitor, the mapping stays on the main monitor (Since there is only one), and now the pen pressure test in the driver suddenly works. Re-plugging the second monitor again, revives the previous problem. I need to have both screens available, one for the main drawing area, and the other for entertainment and/or reference images. The second issue I am having is the pen pressure issue in Krita itself. Regardless if I have both monitors or just one connected, the pen pressure in Krita does not seem to work. Again, I have tried reinstalling the tablet driver, reinstalled Krita, restarted my computer, unplugging and replugging my tablet, nothing worked. In Krita, I added the tool option to disable and enable pen pressure, but messing with that setting does not change anything, pen pressure still didn't work. I have looked around for different solutions for this, some of them mentioned previously. However, what worked for others does not seem to work for me. So in a nutshell: Problem 1: Pen goes over both monitors, despite mapping it to monitor 1. Problem 2: Pen pressure does not work with dual screens. Problem 3: Disabling monitor 2 fixes dual screen mapping and pen pressure in driver test, but not in Krita. I hope someone can help me. If not, I think it is time to format my PC, just for a good spring cleanup. Hope you have a great day regardless ![]() |

Checking https://docs.krita.org/List_of_Tablets_Supported shows that Ugee is reported as unknown or broken. I have never heard of someone getting Ugee tablets to work properly; I'd try to contact them -- it's their product and drivers that are problematical. There's nothing we can do on the krita side about this, I'm afraid.

Just got to chip in and say I find Ugee 2150 works fine with Krita on Linux. It will be instabilities with Windows/updates that are causing issues. That's why I went over to Linux partly, after months of increasingly having to reinstall drivers after updates, after which the Ugee worked fine/pressure sensitivity etc for a while. Even today, I found out what I thought was a broken DVD drive, isn't at all ... rarely use it, and hadn't since thinking it was broken when I was on Windows, but it's fine!
Not trying to bash Windows etc, but saying my honest experience. I have no issues at all with the Ugee, and the drivers are incorporated into Linux Mint, so it works as soon as plugged in. Dual booting might be an option? ... there are clear instructions on the LM forum, although I haven't followed them/don't dual boot ... so using the Ugee within Linux would be hassle-free, but still able to use Windows as needed. Be aware that monitors would need to be mirrored in Linux, but that's easy to get used to.
