Hello, to whoever may be reading this right now!
I hope this post finds you in a good mood. I'm writing out of concern with the art software product "Krita". I purchased this software a long while back, on the windows 10 windows store. I used it a lot for a long time, but then my laptop got broken. Fortunately, my warranty covered my laptop and it got repaired. Unfortunately, my laptop was wiped clean. It was at this point that I began the grueling process of bringing my PC back to how it was, and began downloading all of the software I used to have. I logged into the same windows account, but upon going to the store, I have to purchase Krita in order to download it. I thought this was strange, given I was still on the same account I used to purchase the software initially. Is this a per-device pay download? If so, is there a way for me to get Krita again without having to pay another 10 dollars to have it on the same physical device on the same account it was registered under? Thank you for your time! |

No... This isn't something we can do anything about: what happens in the Windows Store is Microsoft's business. But you can download Krita for free, as we note in the store description, from krita.org anyway. It's the same code, same functionality, only not from the store.
