Install BRUSH correctly

Mon Feb 19, 2018 4:10 pm
I would like to install the following brushes, https://iforce73.deviantart.com/art/Kri ... -699127188, but I keep getting the X. How can I install these brushes properly?

The author included a pdf with how to do so, (the brushes need to be copied over directly to the resource folder's brushes folder, though, really the author should've included those in the bundle itself) maybe try following that?

I tested it now with the 4 beta. It will be shown from he X also, a pity that this brush set is not usable. Could not it be revised?

Ask the author of the brush set, not us.

If you get an 'X' on the brush presets, that means the brush presets can't find their brush tips (brushes). You need to copy the extracted brush folders into krita's 'brushes' folder. Then, as per the .pdf instructions, restart krita, after which the brushes will be loaded and the brush presets will work nicely.

I've just downloaded them and installed them, as noted, with no problems. It's a nice and interesting set of brushes.

@ahabgreybeard, I have opened the folders and installed with the resources manager. Then pushed into the Brushesordner of the Bundles folder. Do the brushes have to stay in the bundle folder?

The way the creator has arranged and packaged them is this:

In the Bundles folder, there are importable bundles. These only contain the Brush Presets, without brushes. You seem to have imported these because you see the brush presets with an 'X' on them.

In the Brushes folder, there are collections of brushes, that are needed by the brush presets.

Simply copy each of the different folders in ...enviro-brushes/Brushes to your krita area .../brushes folder. Then restart krita. The brushes will be found and loaded when krita starts.

I got it all working by following the instructions in the .pdf file.

Unfortunately I can not install this brush set properly, although I installed it exactly as directed. But I also find no contact with the author. A pity, he does not even react to my posting.

I found the problem solution! The error was at Krita 3.3.3 and at Krita 4 Beta. At Krita 3.3.2 I can use the brushes
