I am somewhat new to Krita and still learning the features. I am using Krita 3.3.3 on Windows 10, 64-bit.

In trying to Save shorts in Configure | Keyboard Shortcuts using the Save/Load button at the bottom.

With Save Custom Shortcuts, the file dialog opens in Program Files\Krita (x64). If I change to another directory (under Documents) and save, it appears to work but there are no files there afterward.

With Export Scheme, the same happens except it starts in AppData\Roaming\Krita\shortcuts. After changing to another directory and saving, it appears to work, but there are no files there afterward. There does seem to be a file of that name in AppData\Roaming\Krita\shortcuts, however.

This seems to be a bug. At least I don't see what I am doing wrong.

In addition, the documentation does not say what is the difference between Save Custom Shortcuts and Export Scheme. I notice the files that appear in AppData\Roaming\Krita\shortcuts are the same with either option.

Well, I tried saving again today and it did work to save in another directory than the one in which it opened. Also today I get a different result from Save Custom Shortcuts and Export Scheme. I am not sure what is different today. I was pretty careful about what I did yesterday and did it several times.

I still do not know the difference between Save Custom Shortcuts and Export Scheme, and the manual does not explain any of the options under Save/Load. I would appreciate some clarification.

The shortcuts I saved were a subset of the scheme I saved and only had one item, which was a keyboard shortcut. So my best guess is that is just the shortcut differences and the scheme is everything.

Thanks.

Hi,

Yes.
When saving custom shortcuts you're exporting just the shortcuts you changed or added.
You can export a custom scheme to import it later if you need it (e.g. after moving to a different device)
