In 4.0 Whenever I use the color picker, sliders, or any means of selecting a color or than picking it from the advanced color selector directly it breaks and when I try to paint again it will be unresponsive and paint in ''dots'' and leave '' Holes''in my activitys. https://ibb.co/eaiPH7

Using the 4.0.0 appimage on Linux, I observe the same problem when using a 32-bit float/channel colour space.
The colour wheel and the Specific Colour Selector both seem to work fine. If I try to use Cntrl-click as a colour picker then the selected colour often goes transparent, as shown on the Specific Colour Selector. When it's not transparent then it often is applied in 'patches' along a brushstoke, leaving large gaps. 16-bit float does not have this problem. Could someone who knows more about 32-bit floating point colour spaces comment on this? |

Thank you for the further information. I switched over to 16 bit with no problems. I'll just stay away from 32 for the time being.

Ive just tried the latest appimage nightly build (b662043) and it also has a problem with the colour picker when using 32-bit float colour space.
The problem seems less severe but it is still there with a different and less bad effect in the painted brushstoke and the same strangely incorrect result in the Specific Colour Selector. I assume that the developers have picked up on this and are working on it. (Waves to the developers). We'll have to wait and be patient. |
