Hello
![]() Not sure how to ask this question without sounding as if I'm having a go at the new reference feature for 4.1, but that's not my intention; I understand if others want to embed references or trace or other things. I'm actually using the antoine-roux script for a separate reference docker, and really don't want extra reference layers or anything attached to artwork save. Of course the 4.1 reference feature isn't finalised, so maybe I'm asking too early, but I can't find anywhere to turn off the 4.1 feature fully (latest appimage) ... a reference layer appeared when I copy/pasted something, and I needed to delete it, so would like to ask how to avoid that. I'd thought me using .ora would mean that nothing like that would happen, as the feature is for .kra files? Just to add a big thank you for including the colour picker blending feature too. It's excellent!

Copy paste bringing along the references sounds like it needs a bugreport.

Unfortunately I can't seem to repeat what happened ... tried the same process (creating new ora file, copy/paste a couple of times, using same brush for doodle, etc) and tried opening a previous Krita 4 ora and doing copy/paste. Nothing. Brought in the ipad Sketchbook psd I'd used yesterday also, added a background layer and filled that, saving as ora; nothing. Every save states there are reference images in the file [I never bring in reference images] that will be lost on saving, but I can't repeat the bug at this point. The reference images layer appeared out of thin air, it seems, as I had no references open, even in the added python ref docker, and that's the only place they would have been.

I've pinged the author of the new reference images tool -- I saw this happen today as well.

I've had no issues except the one time, but great to sort out any problems. Do you mean with a view to any slight alteration antoine-roux may need to make, and ending up with the options to either use his or the new 4.1 reference system (or interchangeably)? That could be really cool. ![]()

This is a false warning due to a mistake in the check for reference images. I just pushed a fix for it. Copying or pasting should not involve reference images. If that is happening, it's definitely a bug. |
