I've just started learning Krita v4.0 on my Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) system. I was following a tutorial about using the different tools when I found I couldn't end the selection tool. I made a circle selection of my picture and moved it. After that I couldn't edited any thing else in my canvas. I deleted all the layers and created a new layer but the circle selection is still in effect and is the only place I can edit inside of. How do you turn off the selection so you can have access to the entire canvas?
Thank you |

The easier way to end a selection is to "Ctrl+Shift+A" (given that you haven't changed that shortcut).
Not probable but maybe you created a selection mask? (although you mentioned all layers where deleted) which can be easily added by toggling the "eye" icon on the layers, and thus kept as a mask layer. deleting that layer also deletes the selection (just in case). You can access the full selection menu on the menu bar under Select besides what's displayed on the tools options panel. For more information please check https://docs.krita.org/Selections

Thank you, Quiralta! I also found that by enabling the "Show Global Selection Mask", I could delete the selection item in the Layers area.
