I need to move Krita 4.0 to a new computer. Which files do I need to move to preserve my custom palettes, workspaces, and downloaded brush bundles?
Thanks! Gary |

The information you need should all be here:
https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#My_reso ... te_them.3F If it's a new installation, I suggest that you install Krita first and run it then close it. Then replace the newly created configuration folders and files with the copies from your old installation and restart Krita. |

Thanks for your quick reply. I've looked at the folders; I can see all my brushes in the Appdata/Roaming/Krita folder. I understand that I also need to copy over the kritarc file from the Appdata/Local/ folder, as that is where things like my custom palettes and workspaces would be. So those two sets of files will preserve my resources, you don't need to reply if I have that right.
Thanks! Gary |

The Appdata/Roaming/Krita folder contains all sorts of things including your brushes folder.
The Appdata/Local folder should contain the kritarc file and the kritadisplayrc file. It may also contain a kritashortcutsrc file and a krita-scripterrc file depending how busy and/or experimental you've been. If it has 'krita--' as its name, you need it. When you've settled down on your new computer and especially after you've made any configuration change or added any bundles, etc, it's a good idea to make a backup copy of the krita folder and the krita configuration files in case of future clumsiness, fault or disaster. Good luck with your new computer. |

I just finished moving Krita and using the suggested procedure to maintain my brushes and configurations. It worked great! It's a big relief to not have to redo all of that customization. Thanks for your help!
