Payment method

Sat Apr 28, 2018 6:50 pm
Hey, great work for krita 4 ! I didn't expect the "masked brush" feature to come to krita... but it's so awesome. I believe I'm starting to use krita enough now that I want to make a regular contribution rather than when I feel like it.

However is there another payment method than paypal for that ? I cannot link my credit card directly. I moved from one country to another and now my paypal account and my bank account with a credit card fall under different legislations, which makes paypal block any linking between the two. Paypal seems to be the only way to make recurring donations to the krita team, so far I'm stuck.

Anyway keep up the great work !

EDIT: Oh, I notice the yellow "donation" button is actually another recurrent payment system, not a donation. I subscribed to it, hope it works. Maybe this topic is simply there to say you should add a "choose you payment method" text or something alike above the buttons on the website.

There is libera pay which Krita uses for monthly donations. Maybe that has a valid option for you?

I am not sure what type of services people use when they don't use credit cards/debit cards or paypal. Those are usually the two most common ways I have seen people use when doing online transactions.

There's also an option to do a direct bank transfer, that's most useful for folks in the EU.

I completely missed it, because I though it would be the most efficient and I didn't see how to make a request. Oh, well, as I said in my edit, I used libera (the yellow link).

Thank you.
