I have the latest version of Krita & the Basic-5 Size paintbrush no longer goes thinner at the end of a stoke, the brushstroke is all the one width. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The Basic-5 Size brush preset will go thicker (or thinner) as you apply more pressure (or less pressure) to the stylus when making the stroke. Are you sure that your stylus stroke technique hasn't changed in some way? If it was going thinner at the end of a stroke then this would be because of how you were lifting pressure from the stylus at the end of the stroke.
Does stylus pressure variation work properly for other brush presets such as Basic-2 Opacity? Also, have you edited the settings of the brush preset in any way? If you click the Edit Brush Settings icon, you'll open up the editing window which will say 'Pixel Engine' at the top, under the brush preset name. If changes to settings have been made then this will have a warning statement next to it with a Reload button that can be clicked to reload the original settings. |

Hi, Thanks for your reply, the stylus pressure variation doesn't work properly for other brush presets such as Basic-2 Opacity either. No matter how I vary the pressure I cannot get thicker and thinner lines. All pens have the original settings loaded.
