LinuxMint 18.3 Cinnamon 64 bits is the OS of my computer. Appimage 4.0.2 translations don't still work in French (autodetected by Krita). However I can change language. "Deutsch", "italiano", "español", "Nederlands" seem ok.

I don't know about that... It's too weird. I tried to test translations, and, sure German worked, both on an English and a German plasma desktop. Dutch didn't work on a Dutch plasma desktop until I switched to German and then back to Dutch, then it worked. Right now I suspect the underlying system is just broken and that it isn't a bug in any code in Krita itself.

What information can I add? - On my desktop, Krita in version 3.3.3 (AppImage too) managed to correctly display the French language.

The problem will be solved in the next version of Krita 4. Just keep patience.

I don't know... I've worked for days this time to try and fix the translation issues, and got to a point where everything worked for me, on plasma/linux, windows and macos. But there's a limit to what I can test, and there's a limit to what I can debug, so I just am not sure the problem will be solved in the next version.

Hi, i have the same problem in ubuntu 18.04, spanish language. Translatións are not working.

I cannot do anything about it anymore: I've seen translations work and not work, when the OS was in US English, the desired language or another language. I'm basically out of options...

hi, krita.flatpak is working excellent about translation. Maybe krita team should adopt this kind of packaging

My report is still valid in Krita AppImage version 4.0.3. I can see the same symptoms with my system LinuxMint 18.3 Cinnamon 64 bits.

Courage to the whole team to find out what does not work.
