Hello all,
I was considering going digital with outdoor sketching. However I only have now a desktop computer. Is there some hardware some of you have been using and that you recommend ? I see there's a “tablet” version of krita, but I don't know on which machines it was been tested with. I'd rather not buy an apple or a android golden cage though. Thank you for any suggestions, |

Krita doesn't run on Android or iOS in any case. Krita Gemini will be replaced soon by the ordinary desktop version, which now comes with a special docker for touch systems. The best bet would be something like a Lenovo Yoga or a Surpface Pro: Windows systems that are very portable and come with fairly bright screens. Even so, outdoors working working on a screen usually is a bit of a pain because the sun outshines the brightest screen.

Thanks for the answer !
Well outdoor sketching with actual sketchbooks is a pain after sunset, but should be a true pleasure with a tablet. I know some artists who do it and it seems awesome ! On those laptop that can be used as tablet I've just discovered the laptop-and-tablet that runs on linux https://puri.sm/shop/librem-11 ? Has anyone ever try this one out ? |

No... That one isn't available yet, it's in the pre-order stage.
