Hi!
I'm having this issue where I can access all my saved files on the Krita software interface, but I can't find them in my own windows folders, wether it is PNG, JPEG or KRA (the saving/export doesn't seem to work). Can someone help please? Thank you! |

While trying to save/export a file, does the dialog for saving comes up? where you have to specify the folder or directory where you want to save. If so, when you click on save, does any thing else happens (like for jpg/png a settings dialog appears, for saving a kra, you can see in the status bar the saving bar.
Would be easy to figure it if you can provide the exact steps you take to save/export a file (just to make sure we are not missing something there), also which version of Krita, it seems you are on windows, but which version too, and very important, are you saving locally (on your pc) or on a network folder? : )

Hey, I'm on version 3.3.3!!
I click either on "save as" or "export", then this window pops up. I then select image/jpeg and select "ok". The window containing the 3 following tabs opens. https://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2018/24/2/1528764817-kritabug.png |

Um yes? That's the jpeg export dialog? Select the options you want and press OK. |

I clearly stated my problem in the first post (I click save and it doesn't work), so stop looking down on me because you're not helping at all. Also I'm not that stupid. |

Easy there, no one is trying to look down at you, remember this is a worldwide forum, sometimes English doesn't reads the way is intended, there is no need to get upset, I just got back at you answer, asking question to clarify things works both ways, not only for you but for us to understand exactly what's happening. Any way... I see in the pictures that the dialog open normally, yet if after saving there is no file there the only thing I can think of is that either your user account or Krita doesn't has permissions to save in there. Unfortunately this is as far as I can go as I don't use Windows myself, but someone else may give you better advise.

Sorry, but you were not clear at all. The screenshots don't show any problem at all. In any case, update to the latest version of Krita, which is currently 4.0.3. It is not a good idea to keep using older versions. |

The screenshot collage you gave the link for shows you saving as a .kra file but you show the tabs for the Save As .jpg option. That is confusing. If you Save As a particular file type, the file window will show all files of that type and no other types.
As a separate issue, if you're working on a .kra file with multiple layers and filters, etc. then it's not a good idea to Save As a .jpg file because you'll lose the structure of all the work you've done on it. If you want a .jpg/.png/etc output then it's better to use Export. Then you'll be prompted to Save your work (in the .kra file) if you close Krita. If you can see your .jpg files when you try to open them with Krita, then they must exist in your file system. You seem to have everything in C:Users/kussi/Pictures so if you close Krita and use the Windows file explorer then are you saying that the files you saw in Krita are not in C:Users/kussi/Pictures when using the Windows file explorer to look for them? |
