Hi guys. I am wondering if there is anyway that I could move locked layers that are part of an unlocked Group layer.
I currently use an older version of Krita for several reasons -- the main reason being, I vastly prefer how the move tool works in that version. Whether it was a bug or not, I really like the idea of being able to move a locked layer, provided that it is part of an unlocked Group. This change to the move tool is so disruptive to my workflow that I cannot use newer versions of Krita. So I would like to ask if anybody knows of any way that I could get this behavior back in the newer Krita versions. Here is a video showing what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsP5Z9p9a3s (I know the video shows V 3.3.1, but V 4+ has the same behavior. Actually V 4's is worse, as ctrl Z doesn't seem to work immediately after moving anymore...) I know nothing about coding or anything, but if there is some way to get this functionality back in the program, then I would be very grateful if anyone would like to help me out with that. Thanks! |

It seems you have found a bug:
If you transform a group and the group contains a locked layer, the locked layer will not change. However, the second time the transform tool is used, the preview will include the transformed state of the locked layer, I'm sure this is not how it was supposed to work, and maybe is related to the move tool also ignoring locked layers inside non locked groups. It also seems undo is broken on the move tool for the moment. :/ Could you file a bug? https://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=krita, you will need an account. Adding the video to the report would help a lot
