When I import a layer is there a way to get the file search window like the usual Mac file windows like in other apps? Regular finder window.
So you can see a preview of the files in your choices. Thank you.

you can go to the settings dialog and enable native file dialogs; be aware that Qt's integration with the native file dialogs on macOS had quite a few bugs when we first made it possible, which is why it isn't the default.

You are kind and understanding.
Thank you for answering my questions I'm sure I'll have more.
I have almost switched to Krita completely. Except for text which I use Art Text.
The native file dialog works fine so far on MacBook Pro Mid 2012 OSX El Capitan Ver 10.11.6. Have not tested yet on my MacBook 2009, but hopefully it will work.
Thanks again.
