PDF always imports a Bit Blurry is there a way to get it to import cleaner?

OSX El Capitan Ver 10.11.6

On the PDF Import Options window, have you tried increasing the Resolution from the default 100 dpi?

I want the size to be 1024 X1024 which gives me a default of 144 dpi if I change the dpi the size changes. This I do not want or need.
