Hello guys,
I just got a Lenovo Yoga 730 15 with active stylus. Since the pen (Lenovo Active pen 2) uses Wacom drivers, I thought it there would be no problems working with it in krita. Now the pen works perfectly fine in paint and windows sketch pad, pressure sensitivity works as well. But when I open krita, it won't draw. I can only use my fingers. When I try tablet tester, the pen will be recognized. The weirdest part: two or three times, the pen would be recognized in krita and would draw perfectly fine, including pressure sensitivity; but only for a few seconds. I'm sure I didn't press any buttons before or after so I don't know why this happened. Does anybody know how to resolve this problem? I would appreciate any helpful tips.

I assume that you're using Windows 10 with the latest version of krita?

These kinds of pen/tablet problem are always difficult. The only quick thing I can suggest is that you try is to disable Windows Ink at both the operating system level and also in the Wacom Driver Control utility. Another thing is to use the Wacom Driver Control utility to set up a separate application profile for krita (assuming that Lenovo have provided this utility as part of their standard installation). Those two actions have helped me in the past with krita and Wacom pen problems under Windows 10.

"When I try tablet tester, the pen will be recognized." - I assume this is the krita tablet tester and not any other tester or calibration utility?

Is the pen 'recognised' all the time, according to the tablet tester, even when it refuses to draw for you?
Does the output record of the krita tablet tester show a pressure reading e.g. 'P=54.7%' on every entry?

It is weird that it recognised the pen presence and pressure for a few seconds and then stopped. Does this happen totally at random or is it related to a fresh start of krita or a recent reboot of the OS?

It may be that someone else or one of the developers knows about the Lenovo Active Pen 2 using Wacom drivers and can give more advice.

Thanks for your detailed answer! After trying almost everything to resolve the problem I realized that I overlooked one setting: In tablet settings, changing Tablet input API from 'WinTab' to 'Wintows 8 + Pointer input (EXPERIMENTAL)' (+restarting krita). Quite stupid that I didn't try that earlier; Now drawing works and pen pressure is recognized. Just for the record, if anybody has the same problem anybody reads this: I'm using Win10 and the latest Krita version.

I've actually seen something like this before: my daughter has a 720, and on that the pen didn't work with the wintab driver either. But then, on my 920, everything is fine. Of course, we both removed Windows and put Linux on the laptops afterwards, and there's no problem at all with the pen under Linux.

Probably something weird with the event sequence from the WinTab that is causing problems with how input is handled in Krita. In these cases using Windows Ink would definitely work better.

Can someone tell me how to calibrate the click at the Wacom Bamboo? Or which drivers to choose correctly. Incorrectly responding to pressing, I do not know how to configure. Sometimes pressing is stronger than needful
