Canvas keeps dragging to the side?

Mon Jul 30, 2018 9:41 pm
Hello! I've been a longtime user of Krita, but I've never been able to figure this out! Every once in awhile something will accidentally trigger an arrow on the side of the workspace, and no matter what I do it keeps bringing my canvas view all the way to whatever that side is!

I can't figure out how to turn it off whenever it happens, so I end up having to close out of the program and reopening it. Please help if you can! Thank you so much for your time!! (It's getting really annoying :-\ )

Hi,

Please bear in mind that I'm a total newbie. But I'll tell you what I have learned :)

If you didn't know - the arrow is there so you can resize your canvas (not the zoom, but real size). If you click it - it will add a few more pixels on the left side of the canvas.

It appears when you scroll away from your canvas to the max (max left, max right etc). In your case it's moved max to the left.

And when you do this, I also noticed that the space+drag&drop seems to stop working under certain (random?) circumstances.

What does work (at least for me) is to use the scrollbar. And then scroll back - in your case - to the right.

I consider it a bug, but not sure, since, as I said, I'm a newbie and maybe I missed something :)

It doesn't always work when I used to use the scrollbar, but I didn't know what settings they were, so hopefully next time I can go through canvas resize to get rid of the anchor!!! Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it!!

I dont think this is related to the side arrows, I don't have them in my Krita and it still happens. Just randomly the canvans go max to the left. Pan, zooom out/in doesn't help.
