Hey guys! So I'm getting a little flustered because I tried drawing and idk wtf I did. I kept krita on for 5 days getting frustrated as hell trying to resolve this and I'm getting a little irritated lol. I'm learning the software and as I'm doing so, there's this box that's over my drawing. I don't know the proper name for it but it has a plus sign in the middle of the rectangle as if it's like a camera and lines are sporadically showing and disappearing within the rectangle over my drawing. The sporadic lines are within the box its just not showing in my screenshot because I didn't catch it in time. When I move the camera rectangle, the lines are with it and I still can't draw on my canvas even if i move it to the side. It's almost as if it's like another layer but it doesn't show in the layer panel and I can't hide it or rid of it so I cant start my drawing again since I cant draw over it. I've clicked every later possible to try disabling it/hide, no go. I even accidentally made another canvas to the side of my default one and idk how I did that lmao. Help meeeeeeeeeee pleaaaaseee. Also, in my drawing I see little faint dotted lines in the shape of the rectangle like this camera box and idk wth that's about either

Looks like you activated the transform tool. There's no "camera" in Krita's animation support.

If you've accidentally activated a particular tool, it will be highlighted in the Toolbox and all you need to do it click on the tool that you want to use in the Toolbox, such as the Freehand Brush tool or the Move tool.
When posting a screenshot, it's a very good idea to include all of the screen so that lots of information, such as the contents of dockers, is displayed. It's also better to use a .png file instead of a .jpg (if you have that option) since .jpg files often blur the details and make it difficult to read small text. Here is an example where I 'accidentally' used the Transform tool: https://i.imgur.com/iInRonQ.png If you're just starting with krita and animation in krita then go to the Search box at the top of the forum window in your browser and type "animation" to get a list of previous posts that are about animation to see if your problem has been covered before. The online manual is very useful: https://docs.krita.org/en/ and https://docs.krita.org/en/user_manual/animation.html |
