ok, i know i'm not the only one issue using PureRef, which is a software you can download for free and uses it to keep your images (what ever it may be) open and have it stay on top of all or any programs you use. So, when i got ride of Photoshop (cus financial reasons) i herd of Krita from a friend and he said it is just like Photoshop (kinda like it) but it works for me and i like it. My problem is that i cant have both Krtia and PureRef out. PureRef deactivates the pressure sensitivity and i don't think a code i have to activate it will work since that code was for Photoshop and is more of a java scrip. So, what I am asking is if there is a way to fix the pen pressure when using both software, so that I don't have to go back to Photoshop or pay any type of money for another system, or fine a free system that MAY workd with PureRef.

Couple of things, although neither a solution unfortunately.

First, for any assistance is always good to state your basic software information, operative system, type of pen/tablet (brand/model), and just to make sure, version of Krita. With that information, would be easier for someone around to give you a hand :)

Now, Pureref is indeed cool, I had use it, in the past, what you may not know yet is that Krita has its own implementation of reference images as a tool. (the button with the "pin" icon). Is not like Pureref nor its meant to be, its a tool with its own ways and features that works for peple who needs reference images. Then just go back to a brush or any other tool you wish and the images would be there unaffected by the painting.

The simple way of using it, is by selecting the tool and dragging/opening images and fixing them around the canvas (inside/outside the drawing area, doesn't matter). but it comes without the ability to "crop" the image, I mention it because this is one feature many people like from Pureref.

A better (I leas is what I think) approach, is to open a separate window (either of the same document or a new one, your choice) and use it as a reference image frame, like that you can zoom the image within the "frame"-window and "crop" as desired. Keep that window on top and you are set.

As everything else, it takes time to get used to it. This is a alternative, if you prefer Pureref regardless, then I think it may be something to do with your pen drivers, but that is beyond my capabilities of advice, but the devs or more tech users know that area very well, just wait a bit for a suggestion.

By the way, Krita is not like Photoshop nor its meant to be, but we glad you find it useful and that you like it :)

will my tablet is a monoprice (basically a Huion product), the driver (cus i dont have my information for the model of my monoprice) is V8.1.2010.1210, hope that is write or if you need more information. Though as nice as that alternative is, i like using PureRefe, i would prefer to keep using PureRef it often
