Hi,
I've noticed that only the "Bezier Selection Tool" doesn't allow moving just created selections. Is it expected?
Thank you for a very useful feature!

(I'm using krita-4.2.0-pre-alpha-bb79c0e-x86_64.appimage - Ubuntu 14.04, Unity)

Hi, mvowada!

Yes, it is an expected behaviour. I didn't manage to implement moving for the bezier curve tool. I thing we will have to postpone implementing moving for it.

I think the work around for Krita 4.2 is going to have to be changing to a different selection tool. That will allow you to move the selection. That will have to be ok until there is more time to fix the other selection tool to do that.

Maybe we could add a bug report for it so we don't forget about it

I've just used the Bezier Curve Selection Tool in a paint layer and I could move the selection after I'd created the outline.

This is with the krita-4.2.0-pre-alpha-44560a8-x86_64.appimage. Have I misunderstood what is being discussed?

@mvowada , as a workaround, you can move the selection if you switch to another selection tool.

@ahabgreybeard - I think the issue is that be bezier select tool cannot move the selection by itself. When you are inside the selection, there is no option to move the selection by itself. All the other selection tools allow for this.

If you switch to the move tool the selection will move, but it will also move all the contents that the layer contains. Not sure if that clears up what the issue is.

No problems, by just switching to any other selection tool one can still easily move selections around. I like very much how the new feature works, it makes very easy dealing with selections. Thank you :)

Thank you for the explanation scottpetrovic and for the link mvowada. I misunderstood 'move the selection' as 'move the layer content within the selection'.
