okay so, long story short - i got krita a few days ago. and the swap from sai was a bit hard for me.
finally got keyboard controls figured out, and then a while after swapping the eyedropper from ctrl+click to right click, the color i was selecting started going into the secondary slot (the second box that you have to swap to)

EDIT: im stupid and figured it out.
swapped from background to foreground... could of sworn i already did that..?
