As the title suggest, I am starting to get annoyed that Krita auto expands every group I have in my PSD's when opening them.
Is there a way to stop Krita from doing this? I haven't had any success with finding a solution so far, so help would be appreciated :/ For context, I use both Krita and Photoshop for hand painted game ready textures to be used in Unity, and I originally used Photoshop before discovering Krita, so converting it all to a .KRA file is out of the question. Not to mention there are some features in Photoshop that I still find super useful. |

https://www.adobe.com/devnet-apps/photo ... matashtml/ does not seem to specify how psd stores whether groups are expanded or not, so the first step would be to reverse engineer how that is done. The second step would be to actually implement loading and saving that, the third step would be to apply the loaded state to the image.

Well, if there is no way to determine whether the folders were expanded or not, could Krita at least "not" expand them? to me that sounds like something that would make the layer groups significantly more useful in keeping your work space better organized. I guess you could even go on to make it a preference option so that users who prefer it to auto expands can still have it as it is currently.
Consider this a feature request I guess ![]() |

That is possible, technically. I'm not sure it's the best idea, but for a start you could register a wish bug on bugs.kde.org., and then we can discuss that.
