Hi everybody. This is my first time using krita so I hope you could help me with my little problem. I set one of the pen buttons at the Wacom Tablet properties to erase and at first it was working okay. But as I was playing with the brush types(?) on the right side of krita, the pen button I set to Erase suddenly set to one the brush types. So whenever I pressed the pen button to erase something, it would instead be that brush. I tried pressing the pen button while hovering the erase brush but it wouldn't work. I tried searching the problem on google and the krita tutorials but couldn't find anything that helped. Can someone tell me what I should do?

The following short extract from the manual may be helpful:

https://docs.krita.org/en/user_manual/i ... se#erasing

"In Krita, the eraser is not a tool, it is a Blending mode (or Composite mode). You can change each brush you have to erase by pressing E. By pressing E again you’ll be back to the last blending mode you had selected before pressing E the first time."

If you do want something that looks and works like a traditional eraser, you can choose one of many from the Brush Presets docker. Make sure that All is selected at the top and then type 'eraser' in the search box at the bottom. There are a large number of brush presets specifically designed for erasing, each with different characteristics. If you use one, it will then be listed in your Brush Preset History docker for later use.
