Hello, I have the new 4.1.5 version and I would like to view the same image in 2 different windows. I tried the settings>
Configure Krita>Window> Subwindow But won't switch over. Am I missing a setting somewhere? I'm very new to this program and just starting to learn the basics. Should I download an earlier version maybe? Or is it a bug? Please help Thanks |

If you want to have two different views of the same image, you can open the image as usual and then do Window -> New View. This will give you a drop-down list of previously opened images from which you can choose which one to have a new view of. These two views will be presented as tabs along the top of the canvas area that you can select by clicking on them.
The presentation of the views can either be as Tabs or as Subwindows. This choice is selected by Settings -> Configure Krita -> General -> Window -> Multiple Document Mode (drop-down list). This is a matter of personal preference. With the subwindows mode of presentation, you can use Window -> Tile and Window -> Cascade to select the presentation style. |
