Need help customizing color palette

Sun Nov 18, 2018 1:48 am
I created a new palette and added colors to it. However when I set it up I used the default columns of 10. I want to reduce the columns to 5 so I can see the color swatches better. I see no way to do this. When I click on my palette and change the columns it saves to a new palette. Using the cntrl scroll makes them bigger but pushes half the colors off the palette, they do not wrap. Thank you

The colour palette doesn't seem to wrap when you Ctrl-Scroll to zoom in on it and it's been like this for a long time. In the latest 4.2.0 pre-alpha, it doesn't even have the Ctrl-Scoll zoom facility. There have been many formal bug reports raised about the colour palette and there is a background plan to improve this, as there is a background plan to improve resource management. In 4.1.5, I can't even Save to a new palette; it makes a named new palette but the palette is empty.

I've noticed that a colour palette created in the 4.2.0 pre-alpha has its name displayed in 4.1.5 but the contents of the palette are not displayed. I assume this is because there is some new formatting/configuration work underway for the colour palette that is not back-compatible with previous versions. (Colour palettes created in 4.1.5 are readable and displayed correctly in the 4.2.0 pre-alpha.) The 'good news' is that with the 4.2.0 pre-alpha you can have colour groups within the palette for organising your colours.

It seems that you will have to create a new palette from scratch if you want it to have five columns.
