My new Xp-pen graphic tablet, the star-deco 3. Works very good with this program, better than it does with Clip Studio Paint, weirdly enough that one cost me 80 bucks. This one aside from donations, zero. But one, like one stupid thing. The pen/eraser button doesnt work. My previous older model xp-pen tablet with pen, did properly switch between the brush i had selected as eraser and the one i had as my brush, this one doesnt respond, Photoshop does, but well i dont like photoshop as much as your product.

We haven't got an xp-pen so we don't really know which keypress or mouse event the stylus sends when you press that button. You might be able to figure that out yourself or configure it if xp-pen has a configuration utiliy and then reset the shortcut to enable erase mode.

Ah that makes sense, i did try to look for the shortcut for the eraser switch couldnt find it. What is it named in the krita settings? |

The shortcut in Krita is simply the key "E" (by default that is), if you go to Settings>Configure Krita>Keyboard Shortcuts> then type erase in the search box and you will get "Set eraser mode", there you can switch to what ever you may need. Now, you need to find first what gets "clicked" when you use the "eraser" tip, it should trigger a key or a key combo (like shif+e, etc), not sure what system you use but there should be a way for you to find out, as Boudewijn suggested, maybe a program/utility that comes with the tablet, or a setting on the OS.
Self educated by a very bad teacher!
