Hey all,
Where has the Zoom Blur gone in Krita? Or was it never there to begin with and I'm just imagining things..? Thanks, Chris |

You were imagining things ![]() There might be one in G'Mic, but we just plain haven't had the time to implement one. |

Ah ok, not to worry. There are myriad other blurs in G'Mic, but oddly not that particular one. I shall look elsewhere for my zoom blur needs for now.
Thanks Thera, Chris |

Could be G'mic > Degradations > Blur [radial]? It only affects opaque areas though. |

Heh, I understood "radial" to mean the direction of the blur would be around a point rather than towards/away from it, as it is in at least one other software I know of. But this does indeed appear to operate like a zoom blur (which I guess means we're missing a radial blur, unless that resides under some other unexpected name). I will investigate further...
Thanks mvowada! Chris |

Yup, as expected... radial blur is called "angular" blur. Although it also appears to be applying some sort of rippling effect, so perhaps it's not quite what I'd want if I was strictly after a radial blur (as I would define it).
