Hello everyone,
This is my first time doing a forum question, so forgive me for my ignorant to the culture that exist here. My question is why can't i move my toolbar anymore? Back in 4.0.1 i was able to manipulate my work space as I please. I was able to yet the toolbar in any side of the screen that I wished for it to stay on. But up until recently after i had update to 4.1.5, it seems that the option to move it is lost. I can still select to see the "file" and "brushes and stuff" or make them disappear, but they are totally lock from movement. Another note is that i use the windows store version of the app, pretty all of the other functions are fine, I just cant move the toolbar. I thank you all for your time and effort in advance. |

Hm, I'm not exactly sure when we lost that function. I cannot find anything in the git history that refers to it.

Im just asking is there a way to fix it faster than installing a older version and make my work space there as saved work space. It does carry over the work space, but just a lot of work.

No... I have to try to figure out which commit removed this functionality and then undo it.

Also interesting: if I build older versions of Krita locally, the toolbars are locked as well, but they aren't locked in the appimage. That probably means a default changed somehow in the version of Qt we're using.

Thank you, also apparently in older build even if you make a new work space it would not create any importable file that I could have use to import my desired layout on the new version. Another thing i have notice was that it could just be a window store thing, because i tried and ran a couple other online version, the problem did not occur then.

The resources folder is in a different place than usual with the windows store version of Krita, because appx applications are run in a different prefix. The resource folder button in the resource manager should open that location correctly, though.

Let me reword it, basically i have installed an older version of Krita (4.0.4) and create my ideal work space on it. Then when i tried to find the same work space in the import source option in the 4.1.5 version it does not appear in the workspace folder of the older version. Actually it doesn't even shown up in the work space folder in general, even when i manually search for it in my computer files. And I have made sure to save it and even made multiple copy of it.

Krita 3 saved to %APPDATA%\krita, Krita 4 to %LOCALAPPDATA%, the store version to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\49800Krita_RANDOM STRING\LocalCacheRoamingkrita -- a search that does not start in /Users/AppData won't find anything since the AppData folder is hidden.
