Hi all, with fresh configs, default preset (Basic-5), I get wobbly strokes. Tested with the nightly Krita on Ubuntu 14.04 Unity. If I enable stabilizer the strokes return smooth. I'm uncertain if it is a known issue or it is expected. Decreasing the brush tip spacing does nothing.

Hi, here the wobbly strokes happen also with 4.1.5.
I've checked using v. 3.3.3 and I do not get noticeable wobbly strokes? 4.2.0 pre-alpha > default preset (Basic-5) 4.1.5 > default preset (Basic-5) 3.3.3 > Ink_brush_25 |

Hi boudewijn, sorry for not being more detailed today.
It turns out that the culprit was a grainy sheet of paper I was using between the tablet surface and the pen (!). I'm not experiencing the issue by removing it. For some reason those effects were much more noticeable in v.4 than in v.3.3.3, and that added to my perplexity. Thanks and once again sorry for the fuss! |

Oh, that's a pretty cool thing -- a bug caused by physical things, just like the first "real" bug! https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/grace-hoppers-bug
