Some Bug reporting [Mac version]

Sat Dec 01, 2018 5:24 pm
Hey there loving the program and I'm using it as my main drawing program. I just wanted to report two issues in the mac version.

version Krita 4.1.5
Mac High Os Sierra

First the paint brush seems to "forget" it's being used from time to time. That is, it doesn't work or paint at all until I do something to reselect the tool. Changing brush size or reselecting the paint brush tool from the tool far seems to fix the issue.

Second. Remember how krita uses as default a circle to let you know where are you painting? Well, Instead of a circle as a cursor Krita often overrides if with a simbol that looks like an I with two arrows at it's side <-I-> or even the mouse cursor. You may recognize this simbol that appears when you change brush size. The issue is that it doesn't go away when you are in the canvas and it doesn't let you paint acurately as it often replaces or overlays the circle that repreents the brush. Ironically me trying to take a screenshot of it fixed the issue temporarily, but it did it again.

Third Krita forgets to use pressure sensivity sometimes when I change window and return to Krita. Unplugging the tablet seems to fix the issue, but it's still an issue.

Thank you!

The cursor issue has been reported some time ago -- and we don't know what's up. We need someone who really cares about and knows the mac platform and who can code to dig in. It's probably a bug in Qt, our development platform, since Pencil2D seems to have the same problem. See https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=390642
