I'm new here,
I've been digitally drawing for quiet a while, but am pretty new to Krita...
Been using it for the last week or so, and I'm really taking a liking to it,
but I noticed that when ever I create a new brush and tweak it a bunch of times, the brush seems to duplicate to the amount of times I hit "overwrite brush" after I close and reopen Krita, and I can't seem to delete the extra brushes that it creates?

It will delete the pre-installed brushes, just not the custom ones I tweak or create... (but the brushes I delete will be back when I restart the program)

Does anyone know how I can prevent the brushes from duplicating or how I can delete the duplicate brushes?

Can you say which OS and which version of krita you're using? (latest version is 4.1.5).

When you say "create a new brush", I assume you mean create a new 'brush preset' which are listed in the Brush Presets docker for selection and use and can be edited/tweaked via the Edit Brush Settings icon. ('Brushes' are the tips of the 'brush presets' and are a component of the brush preset that can be altered in the editor.)

When you tweak and overwrite a brush preset, what is the name of the extra brush preset that is created?

What method are you using to delete the brush presets that are duplicated in this way and how are you deleting the pre-installed brush presets?

Running the krita 4.1.5 appimage, I don't see this happening but I do notice brush-preset-name_backup_{date-time}.kpp being created in the resources folder with a matching entry in the blacklist file to make sure it isn't listed in the brush preset docker. This is as expected.

Please don't try manipulating the contents of the resources folders unless you are very sure that you know what you're doing.
