First of all, I hope this is the right thread for me to ask for help.
One day, when I opened Krita, I suddenly couldn't properly draw on the canvas. I can only draw one-third in the middle of it and the closer I get to the other third (to either the left or right side inside of that one-third in the middle), the cursor moved slower and slower until it suddenly appeared on the tools to either the left or right side. Up and down works fine though, but I could never reach the other two-thirds. I'm not sure if this is a problem with my Wacom Intuos Pro Tablet or with the program itself. If my explanation isn't clear, please tell me and I'll try to word it differently.

@Koops: Hi, you forgot to describe the operating system you are using ( Krita has Mac, Linux and Windows versions ). What is your system? Krita version? Graphic card? Does this change happens after a system update? Do you use latest tablet graphic driver? graphic card driver?... All this info could help us at helping you

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with Win10 (Kubuntu here).
Maybe you have multi-monitor? I saw this in the FAQ about offset: https://docs.krita.org/en/KritaFAQ.html ... on-windows |

I know with Windows updates, they sometimes mess up Wacom drivers. If the issue just started out of nowhere, it is a good chance a Windows update is the cause.
See if you can re-install the wacom drivers from the wacom website. That has helped me a few times when the tablet suddenly starts acting odd. |

I have three monitors, but Krita worked fine for months. I don't know why it suddenly does this.
I tried to re-install the driver on the Wacom site, but it doesn't change anything. Thank you all for trying to help me fix this. Because this is a weird problem, I couldn't even find anything through google search. |

I really hope this isn't a problem that can't be fixed.
Krita is a great program and I would be disappointed if I can't use it anymore. |

Reinstalling Wacom drivers on Window 10 can be very difficult. On my Win 10 system, the Wacom drivers had been updated and given 'protection' and I couldn't even delete the files until I activated the special Administrator account and logged in as 'Administrator'. Only then could I delete the broken drivers and reinstall the drivers from the original Wacom CD that came with my tablet.
It would seem that all you can do is wait until the next Windows update fixes them, assuming this is the cause of the problem. If krita worked fine for months and suddenly went wrong as far as tablet/stylus use goes, this is a good indication of OS/tablet-driver updates going wrong, assuming you haven't installed any strange software utilities or some new hardware+drivers that might interfere with tablet/stylus use. Have you tried running the Wacom control/settings utility and reseting things? Another good thing to do in that is to make a separate profile for krita in that utility, which fixed some early problems I had with my Wacom tablet under Windows. -- Good Luck -- |

I'm not sure how to do this, if this is even the problem.
Well, I waited for the new Windows 10 update and it didn't seem to fix the problem I have.
I don't know how to do that. I couldn't find the option for that. Could you perhaps explain what might help to fix this in a bit more detail please? |

In your Windows Start menu, click 'All Programs' and then find the 'Wacom Tablet' folder in the presented list. In there should be the 'Wacom Tablet Properties' uitility icon that you click to get the utility running. You can check and change all sorts of things in there. Along the top is the Applications list that shows icons for every application that has used the tablet; krita should be in there. If it's not, get krita running and click the little + symbol at the top right of the Wacom Tablet Properties window to add krita to the list. If that doesn't work, you can add krita via the Browse button that is shown in that 'Add Applications for Custom Settings' window that has appeared.
Having got krita added to the application list, you can click on it to select it and make whatever changes you want to all the settings tabs, just for krita. That seems to help if krita has been having problems with the tablet. None of that will help if you have a broken driver. |

Do you mean the tablet properties to set the tablet buttons and pen buttons to have short cuts when using a specific program? Because I use that for drawing. Once I remove all the settings via the Wacom Tablet Preference File Utility, nothing seems to have changed. Other programs work fine with the tablet, I'm not sure why Krita doesn't work then. |

I finally found the solution, which is really weird. I explain why in a moment.
The solution: Open Krita with mouse. Hold Shift + CTRL, then move with the pen inside Krita. A window appears to change screen resolution. The weird part: I had the opposite problem a long while ago where this was the solution. That's why I couldn't remember until now. Back then, the default setting was the top one and it worked fine at the start when I first started using Krita. Then the first problem appeared, so I changed it to the bottom option. But now this problem happened, so I have to change it back to the top option. Maybe a Krita update changed this setting and changed it now again, which is weird why it does that. Thanks to everyone for the help, I really appreciate that. This seems to be a great community. ![]() Does Krita have a Discord server for support? |
