Hello everybody !
I am from France and I'm totally new here in KDE, I started digital drawing two months ago with Krita and a Hion 950 HP ![]() I have an issue with only one drawing since 2 weeks : The drawing weights 20Mo on my desk but when I open it on krita (its a krita file by the way), it weights 12Go... Yes, 12 Giga octets, its not a mistake I made writing this value... as a result, my software shut down every time I want to work on this file... Have you ever met this problem ? If yes do you have any solutions to give me ? Bye, and merry christmas ![]() Alexis |

Try to see whether there's image information outside the image boundaries -- you can trim that with the image/trim to image size menu.

Thank you for your answer ! So I check the file and there is nothing outside of the boundaries, and even the trim action is hard to do because of the size of the file I suppose... Maybe I should copy/past all the layers in a new document ? Alexis |

What are your document's dimensions, number of layers and color space/channel depth?
ETA: feel also free to share the document with me (vurian@gmail.com) and I can see whether I can trim it down a bit. I've got a 32gb memory laptop. |

Thank you for your proposition, I just find out the reason of this overweight : my sketch layer was the problem, I just deleted it and the weight of the open file droped from 12 Go to 500Mo... any idea why (because it was on my final drawing so the sketch layer was totally empty...), but it works perfectly now ! Have a nice day Alexis |

I strongly suspect that the sketch was way bigger than the image and filled with nearly transparent pixels
