This is a bug that made stop using Krita a while ago. While i'm trying to use it it simply causes my mouse to stop working. Even out of Krita the mouse doesn't work until i close it. I'm on Debian Linux using Krita 4.1.7

Well, it's obvious that this isn't something that happens to lots of people. In fact, it probably is something specific to your set-up. That makes it a bit hard to figure out what might be up. It could be Debian, it could be something hardware related... But it's impossible to say at a distance.

I use Debian 9 (regularly updated) and the krita 4.1.7 appimage with a cheap wireless mouse (or a USB optical mouse) and a Wacom Intuos Paint tablet and have never had that problem.
Is it an 'ordinary' mouse? Do you have any other hardware connected? Do you run any utilities that interface/detect/modify mouse actions? Do you keep your system updated? In case you're not aware, you can use the following terminal commands to update your system: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade sudo apt-get dist-upgrade sudo apt-get clean sudo apt-get autoremove P.S. I've just tried the krita 4.1.7 appimage with a recent Debian 10 alpha release and that works fine too. |
