Hello. I'm having some trouble rendering in Krita. Whenever I try to render an animation, one of these two things happens: Either it renders each individual frame as a png, even though I specified for it to be rendered as an mp4, or when it does render as an mp4, it renders as a blank, black screen with the audio playing in the background. Is anyone else having this issue? How do I resolve it?

Do you have ffmpeg installed ? Krita use it to render Animation.

I do have FFmpeg installed, & it is working correctly. I also found a trick that kind of resolves the issue for me. The video still appears as a blank screen when I open it on my computer. But when I upload the file to YouTube, the screen is no longer blank & I can see all of my animation. It still is a lot of trouble to go through just to check if my render's playing correctly, though. I hope I can find some way to get it to play correctly on my computer.

Now that I'm able to view the video when I upload it to YouTube, I've noticed yet another rendering error. Now, the video is rendering out of sync, & if I want my video & audio to be synced correctly after I render, I have to move the animation back about 12 frames. Everything plays in sync in the render. But it's out of sync on my Krita timeline. I've tried rendering the animation without any audio & then adding the audio in an editing program but that doesn't work. I've also tried turning off the drop frames button before rendering, but that doesn't work, either. And I don't know what else i can do to try & fix it.

I really like animating in Krita, but so far, rendering has been a pain in the neck, & I am really frustrated. Do you know what I can do to resolve this issue?

i don't know about your issue, but for the playing, what software are you using? Have you tried VLC (it is open and free)
