Error messages

Thu Jan 31, 2019 10:29 am
Only recently I have been receiving these messages when I try to save my art. I need help with this as I am never able to save my art. The first error message that comes up is,

(File location)
File not found.
Check the file name and try again.

Even when I am saving a unsaved new file. If I am saving a document that I have previously used and will overwrite it then this error message comes up.

Could not save (Overwrite file Location)
Reason: Could not copy (File Location) to its final
location (Overwrite file location)

Any help would be appreciated and fixing this issue would be great.

If this has started to happen recently, can you think of any changes to your computer and its installed software or your working methods?
e.g. a new or updated antivirus, a recent Windows update or other OS update or use of a sandbox or any other utility that has been installed?

Are you sure you have enough space on your hard drive and are you sure you have permissions to write to the intended destination?

Are you trying to write to a live synchronised folder such as a Dropbox/Google-Drive/One-Drive folder or an external networked drive?

I have deleted storage and from memory nothing has changed in my computer settings or on my computer.
