Hi guys,
I have a problem when exporting my in krita created picture to PNG. I set the Settings to highest picture quality but when I open it afterwards with any other Programm it is super pixelated. I am getting so frustrated... The image is 11992 x 8542 pixels. I made it that big (364 x 252 cm) because it is supposed to be printed on a huge poster an I wanted the best quality possible. Is the size maybe the problem? I also Need it to be PNG, because a part of it is transparent and I need to continue to use it in Adobe InDesign. I really hope anyone can help me with this Greetings

What's the size in pixels of the resulting PNG image? Can you share the KRA file with us so we can take a look?

(Note: re. "I set the Settings to highest picture quality...". That slider for .png export controls the level of compression which affects the final file size and the length of time it takes to perform the compression operation. It has no effect on the quality of the exported image. All .png exports use lossless compresssion which is the point of using them, unlike .jpg exports which can be very lossy depending on where you set the 'quality' slider.)
I've just created a rough image of that size in krita and exported in to a .png file and there is no sign of increased pixellation in the .png image when opened in krita or in my usual image viewer or in GIMP or in Photoshop. The only options I had ticked were Embed sRGB profile and Store alpha channel. Which applications did you use to open/view the exported .png file? |
