I am trying to setup an ACEScg centric workflow. I'm interested in both painting in ACEScg color space with a lut applied so that I can then take an ACEScg encoded exr from krita into Fusion/Nuke etc, and Taking ACEScg 3d renders into krita painting on them there and then sending them out from there.
One thing that I am noticing is that even if I create a document in ACEScg color space in Krita, if I view it through a LUT my whites go to a light gray color. I'm using the ACES config file found here: https://github.com/hpd/OpenColorIO-Conf ... aces_1.0.3 My lut setup is Input ColorSpace: ACES - ACEScg Display Device: ACES (the only option) View: sRGB Look: None (the only option) Components: All Channels Exposure: 0.0 Gamma: 1.0 |

To add to the interesting stuff on this it appears that if I take an sRGB image with a white background and pre-convert it to an ACEScg exr and bring that in, the white background has RGB values of 16.3 seems that this is where white must be at. I'm checking to see if that value is reported the same in Blackmagic's Fusion and in MrViewer. If so then I guess my question is answered. It would be nice to be able to key in 16.3 without having to change the exposure in the LUT though

Through further research it appears that the RRT/ODT for sRGB output through the config file is applying an unwanted color curve to it. Once I have some definitive information I'll post my findings.
