Hi there

I noticed with my Wacom Intuos BT S that when in mouse mode, i.e. using the "Wacom Tablet Properties" utility, there is a problem where, there is both a paint cursor and a mouse cursor, in which the mouse cursor remains invisible until you move it out of the screen, or otherwise, over a toolbar etc, here is where the problem lay, because, in mouse mode, they are not aligned, and so, I can be painting in the middle of the canvas, and suddenly, something apparently random happens, when in reality, I have clicked on one of the tool options with the mouse cursor.

Investigating this, I noticed on the Wacom support website, something, that appears simular, except it is dealing with Clip Studio Paint Pro, in which it is pointed out, to check the "use mouse mode in setting of tablet driver" checkbox in the application settings. Could this be added to Krita, because I do not see this option, or otherwise, is it a bug, or necessary? ( here is the post https://www.wacom.com/en-au/support?gui ... 1a8e3e0480 )

I notice these problems, or otherwise, similar, exist for both GIMP and MyPaint. Originally I thought it was a driver problem, hence, I had downloaded the latest driver etc, to no avail, nevertheless, seeing the troubleshooting guide here for Clip Studio Paint Pro, I am now convinced it is an oversight in each of these open source solutions?

From a programmer's perspective, it appears there are actually two mouse cursors at work at the same time, when in mouse mode, hence, the solution would simply be to set their locality equal, or otherwise, add an option, to "align mouse cursor locality to pen cursor locality" since, I noticed one, that is, the one that we paint with, uses the pen cursor and its locality, though, in mouse mode, the tablet actually controls the moues cursor. This is easier to see in MyPaint, in Krita you actually have to move the mouse, i.e. using the mouse, to one of the toolbars where it becomes visible, and then, if you then move it with the tablet device, it will pick up where the mouse left off.

Cheers

Mouse, or relative, mode is not supported in Krita. Only pen, or absolute mode.

Hi, same business here.. my preassure doesnt work in mouse mode.... krita won´t allow it.

I have an old GD1212 tablet from Wacom, and it's not supported anymore, so to use it, in mouse mode w preassure sensitivity in PSD I need to force PSD to use wintab by creating, in text editor, a file named PSUserConfig.txt and saving in the psd settings folder with:
UseSystemStylus 0
instead of 1

can this be done in krita to solve the same issue?

here i add were i found the original PSD info:
https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/ta ... oshop.html

PSUserConfig.txt
[Installation Drive]:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming
\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2015\Adobe Photoshop CC 2015
Settings\
PSUSerConfig.txt
UseSystemStylus 0

This isn't a matter of a little script -- in Krita you can switch between wintab and windows ink in the settings dialog anyway -- but a matter of adding code to support mouse mode for tablets to Qt: https://www.qt.io/developers/
