As shown in the image, when I am trying to export the animation from Krita it starts from a default of frame 9. It refuses to take frame 0 or 1 as the first frame. Hence all animation gets rendered frame 9 onwards only. This is the first time I am sharing an image and hopefully you will be able to see it.

I am using an iMac with Mojave OS.

Please make sure "Start" in the Animation docker is also 0. (I'm not sure what should be expected behaviour in that case anyway...)
