I cannot seem to use the default shortcut CTRL+T to use the free transform tool, because this shortcut is by default assigned to the text tool: I get an error message on ambiguity. Now, I want to delete said shortcut for the text tool, but there doesn't seem to be an option to delete the default shortcut. Am I overlooking something, or is this a bug?

Go to Settings--> Configure Krita--> Keyboard shortcuts and type in the search bar Ctrl + T (the + character needs to be typed in manually). It should show the tool to which that shortcut is assigned (the text tool in your case). Delete the shortcut.
Type in Transform again in the search bar, and assign the shortcut to the transform tool. Alternatively, in the beta and the latest Nightly's, the transform tool is available in the right-click context menu. Hope this helps.

Don't delete it, change it to "Empty" (aka try to change the shortcut, but instead of clicking anything, click the X there). (It's from memory, so I just hope it works. It's one-time change anyway).
It *is* a bug that there are ambiguous shortcuts, in the new version the text tool one will be deleted. |

Could you please be specific? How do I delete a default shortcut? I can delete or reassign a custom shortcut, which is not assigned. I can delete the entire default scheme, which is more than I want.

just select custom and close the treeview, it'll affect "none" to it ...

Ah, sorted it out, instead of changing the default, I need to select the custom shortcut, which was already set to none.
